This project aimed to create an engaging magazine catering to working millennial women with an interest in affordable luxury fashion and current trends. The magazine, sized at 8.375" by 10.875" was meticulously crafted to resemble a 48-page real-life publication. It encompasses a front cover, back cover, 14 inside pages, and various essential elements including an editor's note, table of contents, ads, department pages, feature articles, and advertorials.
Understanding the preferences and interests of working millennial women formed the foundation of the design process. Insights into their fashion tastes, desire for affordable luxury, and interest in trends guided content selection and layout choices.
The logo name was inspired by the zodiac symbol, Libra. Libras love clothes, and they love playing dress-up. They get dressed to get noticed, but they rarely take it too far. The scales also symbolize balance. Therefore, the logo would include the balance scale but the concept would be approachable and fun, like playing dress-up.
The design approach focused on a balance between playfulness and sophistication. The layout of the inside pages, along with the front and back covers, was planned to showcase a fusion of vibrant original photography, playful and elegant typography, and captivating visuals, reflecting the magazine's theme of affordable luxury fashion.
